The Bridal Artisans at The Madras Couture Fashion Week - Season 11
We are thrilled to share that The Bridal Artisans recently had the honour of participating in the prestigious Madras Couture Fashion Week – Season 11, where we showcased our expert bridal artistry, intricate draping techniques, and innovative styling. This exclusive event, held in Chennai, was a celebration of traditional Indian craftsmanship and modern bridal beauty, and we couldn’t be prouder to have been part of this incredible platform.
Our Show Stopper: Rohit Bose
The highlight of our participation was having the talented Rohit Bose as our showstopper, adding his charm and grace to the runway. Rohit, known for his distinctive approach to draping and bridal fashion, walked the ramp in a stunning drape that combined the timeless elegance of traditional attire with a modern flair, proudly representing The Bridal Artisans’ vision of blending culture and contemporary fashion.
The Art of Draping
At The Bridal Artisans, we specialise in more than just makeup and hairstyling. We are also masters of saree and dhoti draping, and this was the core of our showcase at the fashion week. Our artisans, led by Rohit Bose and Thivyan Jayareuben, draped models in creative, bold saree-to-dhoti styles and innovative draping techniques, turning traditional attire into modern works of art. Each drape told a story of cultural heritage, elevated with contemporary styling, offering brides-to-be new ways to embrace their traditions while looking fashion-forward.
The Show’s Aesthetic
The event was more than just fashion; it was a celebration of artistry, culture, and luxury bridal beauty. MCFW Season 11 gave us a platform to showcase our expertise in bridal makeup, hairstyling, and draping alongside incredible designers and fellow artists. It was a beautiful blend of traditional bridal attire, modern fashion trends, and luxurious artistry that encapsulated the essence of The Bridal Artisans.
Special Performances: Rahul Nambiar and Aalaap Raju
We were also honoured to have Rahul Nambiar (singer, performer) and Aalaap Raju (singer, composer) grace the ramp. Their performance was accompanied by a fusion of traditional and western styles, with their dhoti draping personally crafted by Rohit Bose himself. Their presence on the runway added a unique and mesmerising dimension to the event.

We are thrilled to share that The Bridal Artisans had the honour of being invited as the xclusive grooming partner for the prestigious Alankaram event hosted by NAC Jewellers. The event was an exquisite confluence of fine jewellery, curated bridal artistry, and timeless grooming, all coming together to create an evening that truly embodied heritage, elegance, and artistry.
A Grand Celebration of Tradition and Craftsmanship
Alankaram was more than just an event; it was a grand unveiling of tradition through a modern lens. The occasion brought together some of the most influential names in bridal fashion and artistry, including the creative vision of the Dakshina Chitra museum team, the finest sarees from our partner Panjavarnam Silks, and the exquisite handcrafted accessories from Srirang.
The TBA team played a pivotal role, styling guests and models with flawless grooming
services, including makeup, hairstyling, and saree draping. We ensured that every guest
walked away feeling confident, radiant, and part of something truly magical.

That’s why we were thrilled to host a special workshop with Thivyan Jayareuben, one of India’s leading celebrity saree draping experts. This exclusive workshop was designed to offer aspiring drapists and bridal professionals an opportunity to learn the art of saree draping from one ofthe best in the industry.
Held at our TBA Experience Centre, the workshop was an immersive experience, blending traditional draping techniques with modern styling trends. Thivyan shared his extensive knowledge and insights, covering everything from basic draping styles to innovative, cutting-edge techniques that have made him a household name in bridal fashion.
